The Promises Of God Are Available – Jesus Is Saying Yes To You Today

I have really good news!  The promises of God are available to you today! Right now! At this moment!  Jesus is saying “Yes” to you.  No one that I know of likes to be told no! Mom, can we go to the movies Friday night? No! Mom, can we order pizza tonight? No! Boss, I need a raise, is that a possibility? No! Doctor, am I going to get better? No! Will I have enough money to retire one day? No! Let’s be real. No one likes to be told No!

And a lot of people think that Christianity is about saying Jesus saying, No! Don’t be deceived!  Sometimes a “no” is a good thing. Sometimes a “no” means somebody loves you. For example a child asks his mother, “Can I play in the street?” She would respond, “No! You will get hurt!”

Here is the good news! The only thing God says no to are things that ultimately harm you or are a lie. Things that won’t bring you peace or joy.  Things that destroy you. Yes, there is pleasure in sin for a season…but in the end, it bites hard. That is why he says no.  But even when God says no to something, he offers something better.

God will never tell you no to something, if he does not have a promise of something so much better for you that He is saying yes to!  The scripture says, “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit,” When you have felt the absolute pure joy of being completely filled with the Spirit of God you will not want to get drunk on wine.

The Word of God teaches us, “Don’t have premarital sex.” But why God?  God says because I have something that is so much better. It is a man and woman covenanting together to be exclusively with one another for a lifetime.

I hope you hear what I am saying. I am saying Jesus is saying, Yes. The promises of God are available!

2 Corinthians 1:18-21   “But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not “Yes” and “No.” 19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me and Silas[c] and Timothy—was not “Yes” and “No,” but in him it has always been “Yes.” 20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. 21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

As Paul begins this section of scripture, he says this, “As surely as God is faithful…”  That is the basis for his whole treatise! God is faithful.  Man may let you down. Your husband may tell you a lie. Your girl may cheat on you. Your brother may steal from you.  Your mother in law may be a devil from hell. Here is the good news: God is not a man that he can lie.

It is impossible for God to promise you something that he is not able to give and it is impossible for him to promise you something that he doesn’t want to give you.  Jesus says yes!

The question about receiving boils down to this:

Do we believe?

Do we believe that he is saying yes?

Do we believe that he is a covenant keeping God?

Do we have faith to understand that every promise in the book can be activated, appropriated, and applied?

Do we understand that God is not a respecter of persons?

What God does for one person, he will do for someone else!

The greatest sin of the modern day American Christian is that we do not believe.  We believe a little and that is sad because the promises of God are available to us!  I think that the church in America is largely full of unbelief. It is time for us to serve notice on the devil that we are going to believe God.

Will you join with me? I am believing that God will do something extraordinary among those who read this article. . I am believing God that we will do greater works in Christ, than Christ did. I am believing for signs and wonders.  I am believing for an unleashing of the prophetic word. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask and think. Can you ask and think? Is there anyone who can dream a dream for God?

I want to ask you something. Do you really believe the bible? Really consider this. Because if Jesus is really saying, Yes! Then we must say, “amen” through our words and actions.  “And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” When you say amen, what you are saying is “so be it!” All the promises of God are available, but we must say, amen!

Do you believe that when two or three are gathered together in His name that Jesus is in the midst? That is what it says. Do you believe the word that says that God inhabits the praises of his people? Do you believe that when we worship and give thanks, we can walk right into his presence?  Then why is it the habit for so many to be late for church this morning? Why were you checking your facebook account during worship last Sunday? Did you come expecting to encounter God? Why not! Do you believe?

Then when you have a headache, do you first pray or do you take some pain reliever? The Word promises healing?  Do you believe it?  Jesus is saying yes!  Will you say, Amen!

When your neighbor said they were dying of cancer, why did you say, aww, that is too bad, we will remember you in prayer?  Why didn’t you do what the Word says to do, these signs shall follow them that believe, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover! Why didn’t you just ask to pray for them then and there?

When you need wisdom on how to handle something. Do you go to God or to Google? The Word says that if any man lacks wisdom let him ask of God that gives us wisdom.

Do you believe the Word that Jesus say in Luke 6:38 “Give and it shall be given unto you.” Other verses say that with the same measure that you give, that is the measure God is going to give back to you.

Do you believe the word that says, whom the Son sets free is free indeed? Then why are you still dabbling in a bit of sin here and a little there?

Do you believe that God answers prayer? This is what he said, “Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” Do you believe that or not? Then why weren’t you at the last prayer meeting at your church?

Do you believe the Word or not?  What about the prophetic word?  I am hearing the divine echo in the realm of the prophetic, they are all saying, “The season is changing. A suddenly is coming. A power is coming.  A new anointing is coming. A victory is coming.” I for one am choosing to believe.

1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.”

Galatians 6:9  “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

If you want to believe there are three things you must do.

  1.  Pray like never before.   Ask God. Fast and pray.
  2. Speak words of faith. Death and life are in the power of the tongue!  Don’t be caught speaking unbelief!
  3. Do the next corresponding action of faith.

Do it right now. Act in faith. Go for your dream.

All the promises of God are available.

Jesus is saying, yes!  Will you say amen?
