Victory over Satan is provided for every believer because of the stream of blood that flowed from Jesus feet on Calvary.  Seven streams of blood flowed from Calvary, each stream shows a different benefit.

I think it is interesting to note that the feet of Jesus were anointed in preparation of his death.

Mary anointed his feet.

John 12:1-3

Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. 3Then Mary took about a pint[1] of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.”

Jesus acknowledged that she did it in preparation of his death.  The perfume was costly.

In fact, some criticized her saying how could you do such a thing? We know she did it in preparation for his death and burial. Because the feet of Jesus were precious.

Jesus’ feet were conquerors feet. When the great conquerors such as Genghis Khan and others would walk the street, it was a sign of great respect to bow at their feet. It was an acknowledgement of their authority and power and dignity.  In this respect, we also should bow at his feet!  Jesus is more of a conqueror than any conqueror who ever walked the face of the earth.

Those who smelled the perfume Mary had put on the feet of Jesus did not realize that everything in the universe, except God the Father himself would be put underneath those precious feet.

Ephesians 1:19-13  “and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”

Everything is under his feet.  Those same feet that Paul speaks of in Ephesians had been nailed to a tree.

That is good news for you and me!  It is because those feet were wounded, that you and I have victory over Satan.

I want you to know that Satan is a defeated foe.  Jesus defeated him on the cross. In fact, the first promise and prophecy of the Messiah to be found in the word of God speaks of Jesus feet.

In particular, it speaks of the heel of his foot.

You may recall that Satan appeared to Eve in the garden in the form of a serpent.  The serpent seduced Eve into partaking of the fruit that was forbidden. The fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  Adam soon followed and mankind fell. Sin entered the human race…as a result we know that that Adam and Eve had to leave the garden.  God told them that because of sin, and disobedience they had to leave. Paradise was lost.  And with the fall, came separation from God.

God in his love and mercy promised man that there would come an offspring, a seed, that would be able to crush Satan’s head.  That seed, that offspring was Jesus Christ.

Genesis 3:15  “And I will put enmity between you and the woman,  and between. your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

I want you to know that prophetic verse was fulfilled at the cross!  I love the imagery of this verse.  In Mel Gibson’s film The Passion of the Christ, a snake appeared in the garden of Gethsemane and Jesus with one quick blow destroyed that snake with his heel. Of course, we know that on the cross, Satan, that old snake, did receive a blow.  And we know that Jesus feet did suffer a strike on his foot. When the nail pierced his foot, it did cause him pain.

But I want you to know that on the cross Jesus crushed Satan’s head. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus crushed the head of Satan. In other words, it broke his power over the human race.  Jesus triumphed over him.

Colossians 2:14-15  “having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross.  And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

In ancient days, a conquering king would bring the kings he had conquered into his court and he would make them lie on the ground, and then in a symbolic gesture he would put his foot on the neck of his enemies, and a cheer would go up in the courts, because this was a king who had conquered. The Jesus that you serve is a conqueror. He has put everything underneath his feet.

Jesus is a conqueror! Everything is under his feet.  Sickness is under his feet.  There was no sin that could conquer him.  Every demon power.  Every principality.  Death, hell, and the grave.

He conquered it all!

1 Corinthians 15:25-27 “For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For he “has put everything under his feet.”

The good news is that because his feet have conquered, yours can too! You can have victory over Satan.  As a Christian, your feet are to be conquering feet.

These verses assure us that we have victory over Satan.

Luke 10:19  “I  have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you”.

Romans 16:20  “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.”

Revelation 12:11  They overcame him  by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony;   they did not love their lives so much  as to shrink from death.”

There is only one way you have power over satanic forces…it is because of the blood of the lamb! Satan has no authority in your life unless you let him!  You don’t have to just take it when the enemy comes after you! You stand up and you resist him! You just remind him that the only thing him permission to do is look at the bottom of your shoes.

Victory over Satan is ours as a benefit of the nails that pierced the precious feet of Jesus.
