Isaiah 55:6-7
Beloved of God,
I want to make a declaration of faith with me. Please declare. It is not too late for my marriage!
There are many great and beautiful marriages in America. I mean marriages that have successfully lasted for well over 50 years. Though, sometimes these solid marriages; without a doubt must have had their seasons of test and challenges. It’s not out of place for Christian in their marriages to go through seasons of pain and misunderstanding. I don’t know where some people got their theology. Some think that because you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior that you are out of reach of pains and hurts in a marriage relationship. Today, there are marriages that are experiencing a serious nightmare; if yours falls short of your expectations, there is hope. After all, a nightmare does not last forever. Change your thinking, and begin to say, It is not too late for my marriage.
Think of why your marriage is not working. Could it be that you are caught up in your own pride and selfishness? Just find time alone to think through and examine your personal role in your marriage. Are you a nagging spouse, fault finding, expecting too much from your partner, disrespectful, controlling, and unappreciative? Do you give your spouse your undivided attention when he or she needs it? What characterizes the topic of your prayers for your spouse? Do you actually pray for his or her well being? Is your goal frankly for your marriage to survive or to end? What are your positive contributions in your marriage? The Bible says, he that loves not, does not know God (3 John 11, 1 John 2: 9-11). Open the word of God, and let the Lord show you what you need in your marriage.
I strongly have the confidence if couple could be intentional, and apply the principle in Ephesians 5:21-23, their marriage will take a new exciting interesting desirable shape. You need to convince yourself of the following: It is not too late for my marriage if I will simply apply prayer and the Word.
I’ll say of the LORD he’s my stronghold and ever present help in time of need. You may need to confess your sins to each other, sincerely asks God to forgive your sins and invite Jesus into your marriage. Jesus will come in and be the third cord in your marriage. Would you honor this invitation?
“Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.”
Call upon Him while He is near.
Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.”
(Isaiah 55:6-7).
Remember how and when you first fell in love. God knows everything, he didn’t make mistakes. The battle is not yours but the Lord because you belong to God. Do you believe that the power of Christ is able to transform your nightmare into your dream marriage? I do.
Tell the devil today, It is not too late for my marriage. Make a declaration of faith.
