Mark 4:41  “And they  feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

Beloved of God,

You are in good hands!

You are in God’s hands.

No doubt this statement may sound familiar, yes, it’s used in All State Insurance Company television advertisements. But I wish to use it to illustrate a  spiritual truth. Because with God you are in good hands! Enjoy the love of his safe hands! Because underneath you are the everlasting arms.

How I pray that you will agree with me that Jesus loves you so greatly. It is his will for you to know that you are in safe hands. Your family is in safe hands, even your future. Nothing about you goes unnoticed to God. You are in good hands. You are in God’s hands.

You remember the disciples of Jesus Christ were so worried when their boat was caught in a terrible storm. But Jesus lay sound asleep at the back of the boat. In their panic, fear and anguish they called on the Master Jesus, who woke up and with authority said to the raging storm,” Be still.” The storm went away; and immediately their fears disappeared. What a blessing for the disciples and for us. We can trust in God’s hands.

This passage is teaching us that Jesus is a Mighty God.  It’s not enough just to sing it. It’s not enough just to dance it. It’s not even enough just to say it. But it is enough to believe it. Believe what?  That you are in good hands with Jesus! His hands are safe hands!  Believe that Jesus is bigger than any problem.

Some time ago I shared some thoughts entitled “The storm stopped at 8:46″. My friend commented and  said “No storm comes when Jesus isn’t in the boat.” So, when we find ourselves trapped in a problem land; think about the promise land, I mean, when trouble, problems, worry and fear come our way, let us save the time we would use to complain to remind ourselves that we are in his safe hands, and then call on the One who can handle it all. It is good a thing, that we read this morning that “Even the wind and the sea obey him!”

Don’t forget! You are in good hands with Jesus!

Being in God’s hands is a wonderful blessing.
